The new frontiers port stones were not working and we have just recently got those working as intended. So we are in the process of getting proper placement and models. The keeps and towers are not placed properly or using correct keep models. We are also currently trying to rework new frontiers. Boats are currently dropping people randomly(and when passing mobs). We have not fixed this entirely yet but that will be or next hurdle is fixing mob pathing to the best of our abilities. Whether it is from aggro or attacking someone through the wall with ranged attacks. As of right now mobs seem to completely ignore LOS. Which had already been contributed to the DOL Core from someone else.(but we are still looking into this to make sure that was the root cause.) We are also working on the pathing issue. Upon some investigation we have determined that the root cause is from the Lootgenerators. One of the issues we have been dealing with is the server will freeze and they only wat to unfreeze it, is to hit enter in the console or to restart the server. What are the main performance hurdles you found with the DOL core and how did you address them? I wish you all the best with your server and it's great to see the freeshard scene is still alive. For example, TOA was probably implemented 20 times over on different DOL servers and forks. Part of my question is because I'm sad to continually see great work go down the pan every time a server closes. Do you have plans to contribute performance enhancements back to DOL, or otherwise open source your work (or parts of it)?.What are the main performance hurdles you found with the DOL core and how did you address them?.I'd be interested to hear, in your experience of working with DOL: Very few of these make a significant contribution back to the core (I'm not going to point fingers, or demand stuff). I've seen many freeshards come and go which say they are reworking the core of DOL to fix various issues (including Phoenix). Right now, Brotherland II is in full operation and have heard a lot of Phoenix players are heading that way. As we say goodbye to Phoenix for a bit, there are now 4 freeshards on the go too, some are in Alpha and Beta stage.
